Established in 2001 by Theatre Director Gladys Coyle and Choreographer Marie Barber, Stagezone Theatre School has become the leading Stage School for boys and girls in the Dublin 15 area.
We cater for all levels of talent and ability from 5 years of age to early 20’s. Our success is built on a professional approach and artistic endeavour in an atmosphere of enjoyment and fun.
Stagezone promotes self-confidence and enjoyment and encourages interaction with fellow pupils. We believe the best way of learning is through performance where our students learn, not only stage skills, but also team work.
We strive for professional standards and our students are very lucky to have such a wonderful theatre as Draíocht to work in. Draíocht has one of the largest stages in Ireland with fantastic technical and backstage facilities. Students get the opportunity to work with top professional choreographers, musicians, lighting engineers, sound operators, hair/make-up artists, wardrobe and stage management for our annual end of year shows.
The emphasis in the school is on Musical Theatre and many of our past students have gone on to excel in this discipline. We present at least one show every year featuring all of our students in extracts from top Broadway and West End shows and hip hop routines.
Stagezone is very proud of our fully staged musical productions; Les Misérables (School Edition), Oliver, Jungle Book, Hot Mikado and The King & I. We are particularly proud to have been the first stageschool to stage the School Edition of Les Misérables in Ireland.
